Richard Cartwright wrote the DAM machine - a dependency maintainer written in ARM assembler.
James
Allderidge wrote a graphical front end and implemented the DoNaLD line-drawing definitive notation
using the DAM machine, creating an application called !donald. Ashley Ward extended !donald in
various
ways (creating !donald2), including ability to make redefinitions to the underlying DAM machine state
and
to view the DAM machine state directly by changing video hardware configuration. For a description of
the history, more details and references, see chapter 3, "The Definitive Assembly Maintainer (DAM)
machine" in Ashley's PhD.
The !donald2 application (and older !donald) are included here together with many DoNaLD scripts that
can be used.
