Helen Birch's platonic solids models

(*Note - throughout this README file references are made to [1] which is
taken to be Helen Birch's 3rd year project report*).
This project aimed to develop models that would be usesful as learning aids
for group theory courses. The project models the 5 platonic solids
(tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron and the icosahedron). Each of
these models can be found in one of the five subdirectories. There are no
Run files associated with this project, but a brief description of how to
visualise some of the solids are given below.
ICOSAHEDRON - icosahedron.s
This file loads in a Sasami model of an icosahedron as shown in Figure 12
of [1] (p25).
DODECAHEDRON - dodecahedron.s
This file loads in a Sasami model of a dodecahedron as shown in Figure 11
of [1] (p22).
OCTAHEDRON - octahedron.s
This file loads in a Sasami model of an octahedron as shown in Figure 10
of [1] (p21).
CUBE -
cubesym - This set of files will load a Sasami model of a cube with all
the planes of symmetry indicated, as shown in Figure 13 of [1] (p26).
To run this family of models:

symplane.s - This file loads in a Sasami model of a cube with a plane put
through it across one of the diagonals.
truncCube.s - This file loads in a Sasami model of a truncated cube as shown
in Figure 16 of [1] (p29).
TETRAHEDRON -
tetra.s - This file loads in a Sasami model of a tetrahedron as shown in
Figure 9 of [1] (p21).
ARCA diagrams
To load any arca files you must install arca using the command
installarca();
Then load the file that contains the ARCA code. It will parse... but very
slowly!
