The tic-tac-toe model is a partially complete version of the two player game where players take it in turns to place odd and even numbers in a 3x3 grid and try to get a specified total in any line on the board. The model has been written with some of the dependencies missing and the aim of the model is to add the missing dependencies. This model was used at the end of the presentation dependencypresentRoe2002, look at that model for the introductory slides that came before this exercise. It was used in Birmingham in July 2002 with 6th form students as part of an EM workshop. The model was built from the oxoGardner1999 model and ideas contained in the jugsBeynon1988 model.
