This model is based on an early computer game in which an agent explores a simple environment which is accessible, deterministic, static and discrete.
The player moves around a 4 by 4 board (with a little work could be extended so the player chooses board size) looking for Gold and avoiding Wumpus and Pits. When the player is on a square adjacent to a pit a message "you can feel a wind" appears. Similarly message about stench of Wumpus when player next to Wumpus.
The game is over when Gold, Wumpus or Pit is reached.
This is a simple model, it could be extended to have different levels, a Wumpus that moved or, as in the original Wumpus game, allowing you to kill the Wumpus.
